Do conflito contemporâneo em vivermos o momento presente, de estarmos no "aqui e agora", sem nos deixar levar pela ansiedade futura ou nos prendermos em lembranças desnecessárias do passado, nasceu a série "Presente Ausente". 

 

Em cada obra, existe um diálogo próprio e plural, no qual se busca questionar a existência de um plano imaterial, muitas vezes não vivido por inteiro, e a forma como interagir com ele. O interesse não está na compreensão, mas na experimentação.

 

Um bloco de concreto com um buraco no canto inferior, onde se encontra um espelho ao fundo, surpreende ao criar um encontro inesperado no instante exato no qual o presente se manifesta. Cabos de rede, imersos em água, representam o debate proposto pelo artista quanto ao uso da tecnologia atualmente. Deixa-se levar pelo excesso, encarando a água como um amplificador dessa imagem ou opta-se pelo equilibrio e pela valorização do agora, onde a água, agora, acalma e tranquiliza?  

 

Sabendo que o resultado dessa busca acontece somente no contato pessoal mais profundo, entende-se o papel primordial da respiração. nesse contexto, bulbos de borracha, presos no interior de cubos de vidro, ilustram a poética do artista

 

Por fim, se busca debater a relação míope que temos com o tempo e o não entendimento de que apenas o presente existe e nele devemos viver em plenitude.

Present Absent

 

The series “Present Absent” was created based on the current conflict in which we live the present moment, the “here and now”, without letting us be driven by a future anxiety or when we are attached to unnecessary memories from the past.

 

There is a particular and a plural dialogue, in which it is questioned the existence of an immaterial plan (that frequently is not entirely lived), and the way to interact with it. The focus is not on the reading but on the testing.

 

A concrete block with a hole in the bottom corner, where there is a mirror, surprises the spectator by creating an unexpected meeting with his image in the exact moment when the present occurs. Some network cables immersed in water represent the debate proposed by the artist in relation to the application of technology nowadays. Will you let yourself be taken by the excess, interpreting the water as an amplifier of this image or will you choose the balance and the valuation of the present moment, where the water now calms down and tranquilizes?

 

The main role of breathing is understood because one knows that looking for the present moment happens only through the deepest personal contact. In this context, rubber bulbs trapped inside glass cubes illustrate the artist’s poetic.

 

Finally the target is to discuss the myopic relationship that we have with time and the unawareness that only the present exists and that we must live a full life inside it.
